The Championship consists
of 20 pre-selected races of varying distances both on and off road
and will run from 1st December 2016 to 30th November 2017.

members qualify (agreed and confirmed by membership secretary). No
membership - No points!

The scoring system in
each nominated race is as follows:
male and female 50 points
male and female 49 points
male and female 48 points
male and female 47 points (and so on)

Positions/times will be taken from the official race organiser's
results. Chip timing will be used, if available.
There is no requirement to complete a minimum number of events, and,
on 30th November, runners' best 10 results will be totalled. Runners
with the highest aggregated score take the awards.
Awards will be presented to male and female winners and runners-up,
in the following categories: Senior; V35; V40; V45; V50; V55; V60
Age on 31st December of
Championship year determines the age group for the entire year.
The top male and female winner will
not be eligible for an age group award.
Any official marathon (as
accepted by 100 marathon club) completed in the season will count.
Proof of finishing time is required. Runners are to notify
Championship Organiser of time.
In the event of a tie,
the best time in the last Championship race (that the tied runners
finished) will be used as the decider. If still tied, the award will

is cancelled by the Race or Club Championship Organiser or deemed
not suitable, for whatever reason, a new race will be substituted –
time and/or alternative race permitting. If it has not been possible
to reschedule a race this will reduce the total number of

awards, prizes will be given to the most improved athlete in the
club. Rules and conditions can be found following the list of 2017

claim team does not have a road running section, who have completed a
minimum of 6 different road races will be considered for the Most Improved
Awards will be
presented to both male and female athletes who the Road Running
sub-committee assess to have improved the most over the season, taking
into account their performance and data from the ‘Run Britain’ website.
