Summer Time Trial – 4 August 2011
Baz claims victory.

Barry, who ran his first time trial back in February, claimed the win in
the August handicapped time trial with the night’s fastest recorded
time. The fastest woman’s time came from (as usual) Lynn Hutchings’.
However, with the handicapping system rewarding the biggest improvers,
Lynn was headed by both Rachel Gladdis and Julie Mead in finishing
order.
Amongst the 21 runners who took part were Barb
Frampton and Morag Day. It’s great to welcome them both back after a
lengthy time away. It’s particularly pleasing to see Morag running
again, it must be around a decade since she was first diagnosed with
lymphoma and to see her out there lacing up her running shoes once more
is just fantastic.
