This month’s time trial was held in
torrential rain. A combination of the appalling conditions and annual
holidays left the field looking a little depleted. However, these
conditions were surely more conducive to getting decent times than the
‘scorcher’ of a time trial we had in July. There were two time trial
debutants in the form of Lynn Hutchings and Ross Kirkpatrick. Ross went
on to record the fastest time of the night.
We have a new name to add to our list
of time trial winners, John Hutchings. John is rapidly improving, and he
managed to knock off 3.5 minutes from the time he set last month. Lynn
Hutchings almost managed a sub-30 minute time on her debut, and only
Phil Burgess could stop the Hutchings family from making a clean sweep
of the podium.
Well done to you all on a night which
really tested your resolve.
