June 2009 – Wimborne 10 mile Time Trial

We had a really excellent turnout for the 10 mile time trial with more than twice as many runners taking part than last year. Our runners were given superb support from team mates who ensured that they had access to water, when required, on what was a warm evening. The level of support was sufficient to enable a few WACers to record PBs for the distance, while others were running 10 miles for the very first time. The support crew who did such a good job were Richard Davies, Stewart Little, Paul Mallett, Derek & Jacqui Sainsbury and Becky Wood.  Thank you all.

Jerry Shiled had calculated the handicaps in advance and Richard did a superb job as timekeeper/recorder.

After all that hard work we retired to the beer garden for a well earned pint on a splendid summer’s evening.
