November 2007 Willett Handicap Time Trial

On a cold and blustery night we had a healthy turnout for a time-trial that saw some terrific performances. Tim Box, Fiona Sykes and Claire Newby all improved by over 2 minutes which most months would be good enough to get you a time-trial win – but this was no ordinary month.

Carolyn Best was a clear winner, improving her time by an outstanding 4 minutes 33 seconds - an extraordinary achievement over just 4 miles. Carolyn has set a new record for the biggest time gain since we started the time-trials.

Anne-Marie Fachiri also had a terrific run, improving on a time she set a long time ago before her lengthy enforced lay-off through injury and Nick Solomon is making good progress on his comeback from injury too. The fastest run on the night came from Jerry Shield who recorded a time of 25:19.
