October’s handicap time trial saw our biggest field so far – it is an
excellent barometer of an upturn in form. Well done to Mark Jordan-Gill
October’s time trial winner after he improved his time by 1.5 minutes
over the past month – there were also terrific improvements from Nicki
Roe, Graham Whiffen and Michele Whitehurst. Andy Horsely recorded the
fastest actual time over the route, slightly faster than Graham and Andy
Porter. The time trail took place over the winter time trial route from
QE to Williett Arms and back that we will be using up to and including
March next year.
Phil
Whitehurst, Andrew Arthur and Maddy Vaughan-Johncey all recorded their
first times in the time trial. Special thanks to Craig Dixon who gave
up his chance to record a time in order to see Maddy safely over the
route, and also to Jill Harsent who took on the role of timekeeper. Well
done all those who took part.
