We had
an excellent turnout for the 1 mile time trial held at QE on the grass
400m track. The field included a wide range of ages and experience.
First man home was Daryl Davies, but it wasn’t until the final lap
before he was able to finally reel in 14 year-old Ross Kirkpatrick. For
the girls there was a terrific performance from 11 year-old Sharon
Hutchings and she had Alex Vaughan-Johncey not far behind for much of
the distance. These were probably the pick of a number of excellent
efforts on the day. Once the track is re-established next year we will
be able to measure the progress we will have made. Full times for the
mile were:

16x100m legs) in a time of 5:12.
Well
done to all of you who took part.
