performance of the day was probably Charlotte Ayton, 5m31 in the
long jump. She was also second in the 200 in 27.7. Martha Taylor
won the javelin with a consistent 32m25. Izzy Kingswell-Farr enjoyed
a second place in the 300 with 47.7 and the 1500 girls packed well
with Hannah Slater second in the A race in a time of 5.10.90 and
Beth Kingswell-Farr winning the B race in 5.11.3.
under-17 women Bethan Burley whacked out an 11m79 quality winner in
the shot, won the 80 metres hurdles in 12.7 and was second in the
javelin on 26m49. Sprint queen Pippa Hine won the 100 in 13.0 and
the 200 in 27.0.
under-13 girls were a little muted in their performances though the
combination of Charlotte Laing, Abbie Lovering, Ave Keay and Fleur
Dutton won the relay in 58.4. Abbie Lovering was second in the 1500
in 4m01.88, Charlotte Laing was second in 14.4, the same time being
given to Fleur Dutton who was third in the A-string and Lydia
Rusling was second in the high jump and 1m20.
had a more productive day. In the under-13s Max Meadwell won the
under-13s 1500 in 4.56.3 backed up by B-string winner Charlie Davies
5m21.3. Ben Butcher won the 75 hurdles in a time of 14.6 with Seb
Flavell winning the B-string and 16.90. Toby Hiller won the long
jump with 4m58, Ben Butcher was second in the high jump 1m35, the
same height as Eddie May who won the B-string.
Guyler won the under-15 100 in 12.1 and was second in the 200 on
24.4 by a nose. It was good to see Elliott Symes in action with a
fine second place in the 800 and a time of 2.19.0. Liam Murphy-Parry
achieved a similar result in the 1500 and a time of 4.44.7. Rob
Hughes was second in the 80 metre hurdles in 15 seconds, Ben Holland
in the long jump 4m74 and Matty Effick in the javelin on 26m08.
Hall and Isabella Cox were the club’s leading scorers in the
performed well and but for some empty slots would have been much
higher up the table.
