General information
At last the latest covid guidance once again opens up the door to WAC activities.
The club has been monitoring both the Government and England Athletics guidance and feels that it is now in a position to offer training sessions with the appropriate social distancing and risk assessments in place. We still await final clarification on the “2 metre rule” and maximum group sizes for organised outdoor activities and our coaches will take this into account when training commences. Our key restart date is Monday 29th March 2021.
As in our previous round of training, the track and trace directive requires us to operate a pre-booking system for ALL cub training sessions. This will be achieved via email unless instructed otherwise by your coach. Details of coach contacts can be found here: https://www.wimborneac.co.uk/contacts/. Individual coaches and run leaders will advise on the session duration and timings of bookings for their particular groups.
Athletes, parents of athletes and runners must recognise that there is a significant degree of individual responsibility to conduct themselves in a safe way and follow any specific instructions given by the coach or run leader.
Booking allocation will be on a first come first served basis with priority given to “paid up” members.
Athletes, parents of athletes and road runners must understand that booking onto a session run by the club is done so with the knowledge and acceptance that although the usual EA and WAC insurance is in place, no liability attracts to the club in respect of Covid 19 loss. Paul Hine is our Covid 19 Coordinator and can be contacted for further clarification (hinepad@me.com).

We will be taking bookings after 22nd March for week-commencing 29th March but have been advised that weekend site availability will not commence until at least 17th April.

Endurance
Ian advises that bookings for his group will be a week in advance. Given that QELC are delaying weekend opening, alternative Saturday session venues will be explored and advised to the group via the weekly bulletins on the endurance group facebook page.
Road Runners
Training will restart on 8th April at Pamphill. Runners will need to pre-book using google sheets. The first week will be a general run followed by an established rota yet to be agreed. Further information will appear in the RR weekly newsletter.
It is intended that the club will circulate a general newsletter early in April when we will hopefully be able to firm up and expand upon our activities, provide club news items and convey any information we have on the competition front.
On behalf of all coaches and run leaders we look forward to seeing you back and keen to participate.
Glyn Davies
Secretary
