The heavy toll of the County Schools Championship and a long trip to Swindon was reflected in the club’s results on Sunday. Mila Desborough threw 38.82 in the under 13 girls javelin to further extend the club record that she set at the County Schools championships the day before. That mark had set a new County Schools Championship and cements her lead in the national rankings. To show her versatility Mila also won the long jump with a personal best 4m52. Maddie Buchan won the B string javelin with 17m41 and Lani Moore was second in the hurdles in 13.12.
Olivia Jones racked up plenty of points in the under 15 throws winning the shot with 8m74 and placing second in the discus 26m02 and the javelin 26m06. Ava Elliott-smith was impressive winning the 100 in 13,38 and the 200 in 27.62. Kayla Robbins was second in the high jump with 1m40.
Ethan Bodman was second in the under 13 100 metres in 14.27 and won the 800 metres in 2,44.77. Elliott Trickey was second in the 100 metres in 12.98. Arthur Cox was second in the long jump with 5m15 backed up by Elliotts B string win with 4m71. At under 17 level James Froud won the 100 metres in 11.88 and Cadey Turner was second in the javelin with 35m81.

The Under 11s enjoyed themselves but although the girls were third, the boys, being one team member down, could only manage sixth.
The next match is at ASHDOWN Track POOLE against local rivals. Let’s have a good turnout in every event.
