Wimborne AC has long been committed to the Wessex and Hampshire Leagues during the cross-country season. Management and administration of the Wessex League is being handled by the Team Dorset Athletics Network (of which Wimborne AC is a member). We also compete in the Hampshire Cross-Country League. Hampshire League races are from under-13 upwards, right through to the seniors and veterans.
Wessex League
The minimum age requirement in the Under-11 races are that athletes must be in AT LEAST school Year 4.
The League holds races for nine age-groups at each fixture. Race distances conform to the following guidelines:

| Senior women | 5000-7000 |
| Senior men | 8000-10000 |
Each meeting commences with the races for Senior athletes. Where courses and athlete numbers permit, age-categories may be combined to increase competition. The order and recommended race timetable is as follows:

12:25 U13B
12:40 U17M + U17W + SW (including U20W, W40, W45, W50)
13:05 U15G + U15B
13:30 SM (including U20M, M40, M45, M50, M60)

Your age category is decided by your age on 31st August.
