Wimborne Athletic Club is organised into several different areas to simplify the running of the club. The club has a constitution and set of rules and an elected Executive Committee that looks after the overall club management. The Executive Committee is elected annually at an Annual General Meeting.
The constitution and rules are supported by a set of codes of conduct and policies to ensure the well being of all members of the club. In addition to these documents there is also a development plan that is used to articulate the aspirations of the club in areas such as club facilities, how we work with the local community and how we plan to bring athletics to a wider audience.
The coaches and officers of the Club are largely comprised of individuals who were athletes or have/had children at the Club as current/previous athletes, and the Club is run on a voluntary basis.
