Kane Aubrey gained an International vest for England Under 20s at the Manchester International. Kane’s put was a little down on his best but he remains number 1 in the rankings in the under 20 age group. Kane also picked up the Senior 7.26Kg shot and sent it out to 14m47 at a meeting in Loughborough adding about three metres to the club record.
Lauren Hill was selected to take part in the UK School Games at Loughborough and came sixth with a triple jump distance of 11.07.
Harry Wood took sixth place in the under 15 long jump at the Southern Championships at Kingston with a 5m50 jump. Harry has now increased his PB to 5m60.
Toby Hiller has equalled Ryan Webb’s senior long jump record at 6m84.
Rosie Fridd broke new ground recording the first club under 13 girls pole vault performance with 1m90 which becomes a club record. In the under 11s Ava Elliott-Smith has broken both the long jump and 75metres club records 10.8 seconds. Meanwhile Bethany Cassidy has used her incredibly fast arm to throw the vortex to a new club record of 33m78 at the Bournemouth Autumn Open.
Piers Copeland continues to set fire to club records as a senior. 400, 800 and 1500 club records have all fallen to him or been improved this year. Cardiff, Marseille and Stockholm with the 48.53, 1.45.77 and 3.34.62 timings were the locations for those new club records.
